The Y-3 4DFWD sneakers by adidas redefine forward motion combining the unique, groundbreaking innovation of a 3D printed midsole with new upper construction and a Continental outsole for extra grip. The midsole compresses forward, reducing braking forces and transforming the impact energy into forwarding motion, while the continental outsole grippy rubber outsole provides traction. Designed by Yohji Yamamoto, they feature a new, bold iteration of the iconic 3-Stripes, complete with loosely hanging threads at the heel in reference to Japanese Sashiko folk embroidery.
